Frequently Asked Questions

  • 01 What jean size should I order if my waist is 28–29 inches?

    A waist of 28–29 inches corresponds to a size 4 (numeric size 27) in our chart. We recommend measuring your natural waist (slightly above your belly button) and matching it to our waist column for the most accurate fit.

  • 02 I'm between sizes — should I size up or down?

    We always recommend sizing up when between sizes. Our jeans are made from stretch-recovery denim, so they will mold to your body comfortably. Sizing up also gives extra room around the embellished pocket areas, which sit snug against the denim.

  • 03 What is the hip measurement range for size 8?

    Size 8 (numeric 29) fits a hip measurement of 38½–39½ inches. Measure around the fullest part of your hips, keeping the measuring tape level with the floor for an accurate reading.

  • 04 How do I measure my natural waist correctly?

    Your natural waist is the narrowest point between the bottom of your rib cage and your pelvis — this is where you should measure for the best fit in Grace in LA jeans.

  • 05 What is "rise" and how does it affect the fit?

    Rise refers to the distance from the crotch seam to the top of the waistband — it determines where the jeans sit on your body. Low rise sits below the belly button for a 2000s vibe. Mid rise sits at the natural waist for balanced, comfortable coverage. High rise sits above the natural waist for a flattering, elongated silhouette.

  • 06 Do you offer petite or tall lengths?

    Yes! Our 30" inseam is ideal for petite frames (5'3" and below), and our 36" inseam is designed for taller women (5'11" and above). All inseam lengths are available to filter on every collection and product page.

  • 07 I am 5'5" — will the 32" inseam give me a full-length or ankle look?

    At 5'5", a 32" inseam will give you a classic full-length look with a slight break at the ankle — the most flattering length for bootcut and flare styles. If you prefer no break at all, try the 34" inseam.

  • 08 What inseam length should I choose for my height?

    30" = 5'3" and below / 32" = 5'4"–5'6" / 34" = 5'7"–5'10" / 36" = 5'11" and above. These are our recommended lengths for a full-length look. If you prefer a cropped or ankle look, size down one length.
